Actor Arya’s The Show People in association with Think Studios Presents Filmmaker Shakti Soundar Rajan director Arya starrer tentatively titled “ARYA 33”
The collaboration of sensational duo – handsome hunk Arya and director Shakti Soundar Rajan worked on incredible magic with ‘TEDDY’, which created a tremendous record in the Tamil Domain of OTT history. While the majority of the Originals released on OTT platforms were the cynosure of Tamil-speaking crowds of urban and foreign backdrops, ‘TEDDY’ broke the barriers and entered into the territory of suburban and village areas. The universal crowds loved this movie for its unusual plot and entertaining package. Having created an incredulous benchmark, the Arya-Shakti Soundar Rajan duo is back to enthrall the audiences, this time on the big screens with the film tentatively titled ARYA 33. Yeah! The duo has teamed up for the second time for yet another project produced by actor Arya’s The Show People in association with Think Studios. This movie will be no alien to the fashion of Shakti Soundar Rajan (Naaigal Jaakirathey, Miruthan, Tik Tik Tik & Teddy) as it boasts of a never-seen-or-heard-before story premise in the Tamil movie industry. The shooting commenced this morning (October 25, 2021) with a simple ritual ceremony.
The others in the star cast include Simran, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Thyagarajan, Kavya Shetty, Harish Uthaman, Gokul, Bharath Raj, and a few more prominent actors.
Director Shakti Soundar Rajan says, “After a prolonged phase of lockdown, it’s great to see the movie industry is back with high-level energy and enthusiasms as the production of many movies is happening in full swing. Significantly, it’s a great delight to experience a great welcome from my producer-actor Arya, who came forward showing interest to produce this film. I thank him and the producers of Think Studios for believing that this movie will get ticked among all categories of audiences.” While all the previous movies of SSR belonged to unusually phenomenal storylines and genres, how about this one? As we inquisitively lookout for the Captain of the ship to break the suspense, he smilingly responds, “It’s too early to reveal it, but I can assure that it would have a ‘Fresh’ element.” Speaking about Arya, the ‘Teddy’ director says, “I have always believed that Arya is the rarest pearl of the movie industry. Not all actors have the ability to mold themselves into the characters crafted by the directors. It has been evident from the list of 33 movies he has done so far including the last 3 movies – Teddy, Sarpatta Parambarai, and Aranmanai 3. This movie will be a special one in his career for his characterization would be far away from what he has done so far in his career.”
It’s not just the story premises, surprise elements, or the genre, but Shakti Soundar Rajan grabs our attention with his movie titles indeed. “I am glad that audiences and critics have appreciated the titles of my movies. This project will have a title that would be understood by universal audiences beyond boundaries and linguistic barriers.”
The technical crew of ‘TEDDY’ – D Imman is composing music, Karky is penning lyrics and S. Yuva is handling cinematography, Pradeep E Raghav as an editor is collaborating with Arya and Shakti Soundar Rajan for this movie. R. Sakti Saravanan is the stunt choreographer, S.S. Moorthy is the art director and V. Arun Raj is the CG Head. The film is written and directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan.
