Should our aspirations be curbed simply due to our background? This is the pertinent question raised in SonyLIV’s latest release ‘Yennanga Sir Unga Sattam’. Yennanga Sir Unga Sattam is an impactful and socially relevant film that talks about a very relevant concept of the present times. Directed by debutant director Prabhu Jeyaram and produced by Sudhan Sundaram and G Jayaram, Yennanga Sir Unga Sattam is set to premier on October 29th exclusively on SonyLIV. Arunkrishna Radhakrishnan is the cinematographer and music is by Guna Balasubramanian. Editing is handled by Prakash Karunanidhi.
The film follows the life of JP, a middle-class man, who aspires to climb the social ladder by marrying out of his community. However, he ends up marrying a girl from his own community, eventually realising that only by taking pride in his identity and community, can he accomplish his dreams. He decides to give voice to his community by making a movie on his life. Narrating a multiple stories parallelly, that converges towards the climax, the film provides a holistic understanding of the lives of socially & economically deprived communities.
Starring R.S. Karthick, Rohini Molletti, Bhagavathy Perumal, Junior Balaiya, Nakkalaities Dhanam, Raghul Thatha, and Madras Gopa, Yennanga Sir Unga Sattam is a Passion Studios production, releasing on SonyLIV on 29th October.
