The actor is thrilled about the release of his upcoming film Ayalaan, in which Sivakarthikeyan plays the lead character. Additionally, Karunakaran is collaborating with Karthi once again on another project helmed by Nalan Kumarasamy. Furthermore, he is making his debut in the Telugu industry with a film that features Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi as the main characters. Among his other ventures are an upcoming untitled movie with Rudra, the younger brother of Vishnu Vishal, in the lead role, and Soodhu Kaavum-2 alongside Mirchi Shiva. Lastly, Karunakaran is playing the lead character in Kuttrachaatu, which is set to release soon.
