 Jawan Review

Following the grand success of ‘Pathan’, the SRK fans inquisitively waited for the arrival of ‘Jawan’, a film that buzzed relentless endorsements that it’s going to exhibit the mass avatar of Shahrukh Khan. Written and directed by Atlee, the film’s anticipatory spell got bigger with big names like Nayanthara, Anirudh, Vijay Sethupathi, and Deepika Padukone involved.

The film revolves around the protagonist Azad (Shahrukh Khan), who is seen as a cop with a hidden dimension of Robin Hood with a gang of 5 women prisoners, striking the socio-miscreants involved in fraudulent activities, and doing good deeds for the public. He locks horns with a notorious tycoon (Vijay Sethupathi), and that’s when the game of vengeance begins, which gets intense, with the arrival of an uninvited guest into the game by the interval.

The entire film belongs to Shahrukh Khan as he flexes his muscles and charms the crowds with his charismatic appeal. Special kudos to the star for his scrutinizing efforts as a producer as well. He has given complete creative freedom to Atlee and his team, which is evident in many places. When delving into the deciding point of Azad vs. Vikram Rathore, it’s the latter one that keeps arresting our senses.

His arrival by the interval and the domination in the entire second half leaves the theaters spangled with whistles and claps. Nayanthara looks graceful in this film, and her episodes with Shahrukh are catchy. But guess what? SRK-Deepika Padukone sequences outperform the emotional context. Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist nails it down perfectly.

The first half takes the time to establish the characters, and the interval point is too exciting followed by lots of enthrallments for the fans.

The musical score by Anirudh is commendable, but it’s cinematography and editing that stand out as the intriguing flashes in elevating the commercial value of the film.

On the whole, Jawan is a 100% paisa vasool entertainer who will make the fans enjoy the show from the beginning till the end.

Verdict: Absolute Entertainment for SRK fans guaranteed!
